**Q: Is this really made in England or China?**
A: I dont think is made in England but China

**Q: Are they dishwasher safe?**
A: I wash the bottles in the without encountering any problems

**Q: Does anyone know if the ones we are buying are still made in the United Kingdom?  There is no country of origin on the jar.**
A: I only know that the company began in England. After that I have no knowledge. The information on Amazon says that they at least began in England and it sounds to me that they still are. I have some other bottles of this type, but none of them are as good a these.

**Q: Is this freezer safe**
A: I'd say it's as safe to freeze as any Ball jar. As long as you don't put hot contents right into the freezer or fill above the 'shoulder' it should freeze just fine. 
(I make pizza sauce and freeze in Ball jars and it works like a charm)

I purchased two of these many years ago and finally started using them again. I wanted one more so I ordered another recently. I use them for pickled eggs and might use them for pickles too. 18 eggs fit easily, I'm going to attempt 24 shortly. The glass is fairly heavy duty and the lid seals well enough you can shake the contents tipping the jar over. I would imagine if you are careful you could ferment items in the jar, remembering to "burp" the contents periodically.
