Although "paper" can be colored. And this fiber has polyester, I think. My only experience dyeing is with wool. **Q: So is this made from paper or polyester? When washing, soak in water and knead gently. I did make a bag with it. Very lightweight. I do not think it would be durable for everyday use. I remark on that because I was able to pull the yarn from the center, avoiding unspooling and other yarn disasters. This product is slightly sueded, and is easy to manipulate. The one drawback is constantly having to untwist the yarn in order to get stitches to lay flat.
