Review: Excellent companion for our long commutes... - I have bought almost all the books that are published under the name Dover little activity books. My 4 years old son likes carrying them around and working on them all the time. We have a few in the car that keeps him engaged during our long morning and afternoon commutes and they really help him improve fine motor skills as well as being a practice for the alphabet. For those who are not familiar with these activity books: They are pocket size black/white activity books that consist of repetitive tasks depending on the book. Dot connection with numbers or letters (like this one). mazes, hidden pictures, spot the differences are the major categories and each book has one of these categories. There are sub categories depending on the concept. For example this one is animals which means all dot connections will reveal an animal picture, it can be transportation, outer space etc... For less than $1.5 this is a great book to help your child spend quality time. They are not very difficult tasks so that it further encourages him for spending more and more time with the books. I will probably end up buying the whole set and then buy them again for my younger one.. Review: Exactly as described - Great..here keep yourself busy at the dinner table gift ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | Best Sellers Rank | #1,048,899 in Books ( See Top 100 in Books ) #1,947 in Children's Puzzle Books (Books) #37,949 in Children's Animals Books | | Customer Reviews | 4.3 out of 5 stars 236 Reviews | ## Images ![Animal Alphabet Follow-the-Dots (Dover Little Activity Books: Alphabet) - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81RB3H2d6iL.jpg) ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent companion for our long commutes... *by A***R on March 15, 2015* I have bought almost all the books that are published under the name Dover little activity books. My only two small complaints are 1. I wish you could tear out the pages 2. The book is very small 3x5 which makes it a little difficult for my four year old to draw lines in. It has been a life saver on road trips and it restaurants so that's a good note to the small size. --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.co.za/products/12219424-animal-alphabet-follow-the-dots-dover-little-activity-books-alphabet](https://www.desertcart.co.za/products/12219424-animal-alphabet-follow-the-dots-dover-little-activity-books-alphabet) --- *Product available on Desertcart South Africa* *Store origin: ZA* *Last updated: 2026-10-17*
