Review: Highly Recommend! - We purchased this for our daughter's 4th birthday. She loves to build legos so we thought this was great way for her to have a separate space to build and store her legos. At 16 inches tall I was worried it would be short for my tall daughter, however, now as she plays with it, the size is perfect. Standing over it, she can reach all the sides or sit down to play with it. A favorite part for me is the storage space underneath which is almost 4 inches tall. Great size for a small container to hold the legos and train set. The legos included are a bit on the cheap side, but work fine. The duplos we have do fit, just not perfect (she received the new princess duplo sets for her birthday as well). The train set is really nice. It's a light weight table and slides easily on carpet which is great as my daughter can slide it to the middle of the room then back to the wall when she is done. We considered multiple lego tables, especially ones with the art space on the reverse, but decided our daughter can do art anywhere so having the option for legos and a train set was more versatile. Plus, she love to use her miniature dolls with the train set side. After doing the research and seeing it in action, I would look no further than this lego table. At a great price on desertcart (or on sale at Toys R Us) it's well worth it.

The train table side IS small but big enough to accommodate a figure eight set plus a bit more (but nothing too elaborate). The "Lego side" has been a bigger hit than I expected. I cannot speak as to whether it accomodates true Legos or not but it definitely cannot accommodate the larger store brand toddler-sized ones. No big deal for us at this point since it comes with an 80 piece set. Overall, a great table and I am extrememly pleased with my purchase!

**Q: Is this suitable for 7 year old**
A: No way too small my 3 yr old has already outgrown ot

**Q: Do actual regular lego pieces fit or do you have to purchase special ones?**
A: Regular lego pieces fit, including duplo and junior.  I will warn you though that not all pieces will stick.  Big green plates and pretty much any flat piece that is bigger than 6x6 will not connect to the table. I don't know why.  The grey plates are glued on and they are kind of bubbly in spots (not a big deal to me) but there are 4 plates in total and they don't match up at the seams so you couldn't stick pieces across where the plates meet.  Annoying, yes, but my kids don't notice and they make do.

**Q: is it compatible with little toddler chairs or is it for standing only**
A: It's more for sitting on the floor. It apears much taller in pics

**Q: Does the lego side of the top line up between colors so a single piece could stay affixed to both colors without popping off or damaging the blocks?**
A: It does. All of the boards are cut so they match up properly. You are able to put a mini figure or any other type of LEGO onto two different colors that are at the seam.

I gotta say, when we buy things that have bits an pieces, screws & bolts, etc. etc. my husband is the one that's putting it together, not me! lol But when it came in today, I opened the box and it took me about 20 minutes to put it together! So easy! So worth it! I like that it's not a cheap put together, it's very sturdy, has a cute storage compartment which I LOVE* and my son is at perfect lengths when playing with his cars and trains! There's times where he's on the floor playing with his toys, but this allows him to stand and play too!! P.s. love that reverses into legos board with lego pieces too! You just can't beat that for the price! More importantly, he loves it! 5/5 stars for me!
