Review: Good quality storage for your kitchen knives at a decent price - Great quality bag for storage if you don't have safe access to a drawer (e.g. other users, curious kids' hands, etc.). When laid flat, the bag has a series of pockets along the bottom, a large flap across the top and sensibly sized zipper pockets at each end that run the full length top to bottom. I have a full assortment of kitchen knives, a pair of scissors, and some cutlery in here. All the blades are sheathed in guards of some kind. The bag seems to naturally find its way around all the different sized object and roll into a suitably compact size. 2 clips keep the bag rolled up and the tightness can be adjusted. The material itself feels reassuringly sturdy. Even without the guards I'd feel sure that the flap would prevent the knives breaking through the fabric. I keep the bag in my bedroom so I'm not worried about curious opportunists, but the bag, while looking sturdy, also looks understated. It's not screaming "look inside, there's clearly expensive stuff in here!" Overall, you could do a lot worse than this. I'm really pleased with the purchase.

**Q: what is the longest knife, from tip to tip, that this will hold properly?**
A: I have a meat cleaver in my bag and it holds it perfectly the pockets are very tightly knitted so any knife will sit I  there with out falling out when open when closed my knives have never fallen out

**Q: Is it machine washable?**
A: Yes...  But the canvas will loose it's rigidity and wax seal..  I wash mine regularly.

**Q: Doe it come with the knives as illustrated**
A: This knife bag is bag only for storing knives, the knives are not included.

**Q: can the 2 inch compartments be unstitched to hold more larger knives?**
A: Wouldn't recommend
