**Q: Do the holes in the sole allow small rocksand grit to get in?**
A: The one in the heel… YES!!!    I use these for my dog’s competition dockdiving and frequently need to walk across a gravel parking lot.  The heel drain ALWAYS gets a rock stuck in it & its so annoying!  That means digging the rock out of that drain hole. A BETTER DESIGN would be two smaller holes like in the front part of the sole.

**Q: Looking for a new pair of shoes for the river, do these shoes let rocks and sand in easily?**
A: I absolutely love these shoes for the pool.  However I wore them to standup paddle board at the river and had to constantly rinse out pebbles and shells from these shoes.  Not great for lakes and rivers.

**Q: How do the 'hydro sport 2' compare with 'Ryka Hydro sport'?**
A: I prefer Ryka Hydro Sport.  I did try the Hydro Sport 2...I taught one water class in them. I found them to feel loose, less supportive and the back panel has no padding (unlike the first model). It cut in to my upper ankle area, leaving me with blisters. I returned them immediately and went back to the other model...I love those!

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ I love these shoes

I needed a good pair of water shoes as I live on the coast and spend alot of time in and around the water on kayaks or walking the shore. I have used the Ryka brand before and really liked the fit and quality so I grabbed these. They have a beautiful design to them and my standard size 8 is a perfect fit. The vents allow the water to drain but there are no obvious drainage areas so they look and feel like regular sneakers. They have enough support to allow me to wear them all day. I was recently in DC and wore them for two full days in a row, walking about 8 miles a day and I never had foot fatigue. They are lightweight, flexible and have a good solid tread on them so they won't slip on boat docks or wet surfaces. I love these shoes and can't recommend them enough
