I sprayed it half strength around tires of vehicles and inside engine compartments, avoiding the manifold areas to repel mice and squirrels. I do this about once or twice a month and it seems to be working and have seen no more evidence of rodents in engine compartment. We live out in the boonies and have mice issues and I have also sprayed it inside the house (inside the walls only ) in areas where mice have tried to chew through drywall and they have vacated that particular area and stopped chewing. I will say though that the peppermint odor is pleasant at first but becomes a little cloying after a while if you aren't that big a fan of peppermint so beware because it will last a few days.
