We first weighed our kid at home using this scale, and it sort of went back-and-forth between 9lbs 7.5oz and 9lbs 8.0oz. We then went to the doctor and weighed him and the expensive scale showed 9lbs 7.7oz. You can't get much closer than that. Some other reviews of this scale complain that it's hard to read because the weight shown fluctuates a lot. For me, I thought it was just fine. The baby wasn't doing jumping jacks, but he wasn't sitting still either. And the weight shown does move around a little bit as the little guy wiggles, but I didn't find it difficult at all to read the weight. I could imagine that if a baby is pitching a fit and flailing, it might be a little tricky to get an accurate reading, though. I breastfeed so I do not know how much milk my baby is getting and I found myself constantly worrying whether or not he was getting enough milk since the baby check ups are weeks apart. After doing a lot of research I came to the decision between this scale and Health o Meter Grow With Me Scale. The only difference I could find other than the price is that the Health o Meter weighed up to 60lbs and this scale only goes up to 44lbs. I figure that by the time my baby is 44lbs he can use a regular scale and I can save 20 sum bucks.
