## Questions & Answers

**Q: In all practical sense, considering its massive weight, can this miter saw be used without mounting at all just by letting it sit on a table?**
A: Yes, I have an earlier version of this miter saw (I think it is a DW705) and it has been sitting on my workbench for 20-some years. I like that it is not bolted down because I occasionally have to move it a foot or so to the left or right to accommodate long boards.

**Q: Hola la conexion electrica podrias tener en 220v?**
A: No 110v

**Q: Can i cutt through black iron or steel pipes like a band saw would?**
A: For your applications, a chop saw would be a better recommendation. The DWS715 can cut metal, when equip with the appropriate blade, however. The quality of the cut will not compare to that of a band saw.

**Q: What's the rpm of this saw**
A: From the Product Description on the saw's page:

The 12-inch Single-Bevel Compound Miter Saw is powered by a 15 Amp motor to drive 4,000 rpm, delivering extended power and durability.
