Review: Strong and comfortable lifting straps with reliable long‑term durability - I bought these BEAR GRIP lifting straps at the start of last year and they’ve held up really well. They’re made from 100% cotton with neoprene padding and an advanced gel grip, which gives them a solid, heavy‑duty feel while still being comfortable to use. The extra‑long length is useful because it gives more wrap around the bar, making the grip feel stronger and more secure during deadlifts and other pulling movements. Comfort has been great. The neoprene padding sits nicely on the wrists and doesn’t dig in, even on longer sets. The gel grip helps the bar stay locked in without slipping, and the cotton strap feels sturdy without being stiff. Durability has been very good. After a year of regular gym use, they’re still in great shape. There are one or two loose threads, which is normal for straps that get used a lot, but the stitching, padding and grip material are all still intact. They haven’t frayed in any way that affects performance. Value for money is strong. For the price, you get a pair of straps that feel comfortable, support heavy lifts and last well over time. Overall, these are reliable, comfortable and sturdy lifting straps that work well for deadlifts and other pulling exercises. A solid choice if you want something durable and easy to use. Review: good product - Using for 2years and still they are in amazing condition!🔥 Absolutely amazing lifting straps! The grip is excellent and they make a noticeable difference when doing deadlifts, rows, and other pulling exercises. The cotton straps feel strong and durable, while the neoprene padding around the wrists makes them much more comfortable to use. They stay securely in place and give me extra confidence when lifting heavier weights. Really good quality, comfortable, and easy to use. A great addition to any weightlifting or gym kit. ## Features - MAXIMUM GRIP AND STABILITY: Integrated anti slip technology holds bars firmly in place to reduce grip fatigue allowing you to focus on form and push through extra reps during deadlifts and heavy pulling sessions. - ULTIMATE WRIST COMFORT: Soft resilient neoprene padding cushions your wrists during intense weight lifting reducing pressure and stopping skin irritation so you can train longer without discomfort. - EXTENDED LENGTH FIT: Measuring 21 inches long these heavy duty gym wrist straps easily wrap around barbells dumbbells and pull up bars catering to all hand sizes and custom lifting preferences. - HEAVY DUTY COTTON CONSTRUCTION: Crafted from 100% thick cotton with double stitching for dependable strength and long lasting durability making them an essential addition to your gym accessories - BEAR GRIP'S LEGACY: Grounded in 25 years of industry experience, our brand is built on genuine passion and expertise. You wrap the straps around the bar then cover with your hands. There is a demo on the bear grip Instagram account **Q: Could I loop these through more than one plate for a farmers carry/walk?** A: You could definitely loop them through a few plates, but I reckon they would be awkward to carry them using the strap as you'd have to hold onto them by griping one end of the strap, ie. The strap would not give you any carrying advantage and would actually make it quite difficult, but it would serve as a way to link together several plates. **Q: What's the smallest measurements round the wrist** A: I can't tell you exactly, but these are in my opinion suited to people with bigger wrists. My wrists are probably about 8 inches in circumference, and I do find myself wishing these were tighter to my wrists. Really good grip though, but the bar hangs looser than in my ideal world. **Q: Does the gel part face inside against the barbell or outside against your hand?** A: Hi you use the gel part outside your hand just wrap straps on your wrist then on the barbell and go for it . ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Strong and comfortable lifting straps with reliable long‑term durability *by R***A on 28 July 2026* I bought these BEAR GRIP lifting straps at the start of last year and they’ve held up really well. The durability is very good and there are no signs of freying. However there are a couple of downsides. The straps are just a bit too short for my liking as I like to have a bit left hanging over but there isn't any. I also find that the padded bit is a bit too short and digs into my wrist. ## Frequently Bought Together - BEAR GRIP Straps - Premium Neoprene Padded Heavy Duty Double Stitched Weight Lifting Gym Straps, Deadlift, Gym Accessories for Men and Women, Advanced Gel Grip, 100% cotton, Extra long length - BEAR GRIP - Weight lifting wrist support wraps (Sold in pairs) - BEAR GRIP - Ankle Straps for Cables with New Fleece Design, Strong Closure, Double Stainless Steel D-Ring, Adjustable Neoprene - For Men & Women --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.co.za/products/118604031-bear-grip-weight-lifting-straps-wrist-strap-for-men-women](https://www.desertcart.co.za/products/118604031-bear-grip-weight-lifting-straps-wrist-strap-for-men-women) --- *Product available on Desertcart South Africa* *Store origin: ZA* *Last updated: 2026-10-12*
