Thanks!** A: Well, American Airlines states on its website that allowable carry on size is 22x14x9. This bag is 21x14x9. The Travelon site describes this case as "meets carry-on size restrictions for most domestic airlines." Based on that, I would say yes, it does. You should probably double check with the airline, if not comfortable. Hope this helps! **Q: Would a 14"x10" laptop fit on the front pocket?** A: Yes...with room to spare. I can put my machine (same size as your) plus power cable and other cables. Plus power pack for my phone. **Q: What is the volume with and without the expansion?** A: Volume with expansion is roughly 100L. We only calculate the maximum capacity with full expansion so the volume without is not readily available to me. My apologies. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good quality and great price 👍 *by J***U on 3 September 2026* Very good quality, highly recommend for carry on bag. I’ve been a Flight Attendant for many years and this bag isn’t the largest of my carry on bags, but it’s a good one, lightweight with good wheels, and a great price! I would definitely purchase this again👍 ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Buena calidad *by E***. on 4 June 2026* Super tamaño muy lijero en cuanto a su peso , resistente ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Excellent suitcase *by T***R on 9 June 2024* Excellent bag at a very good price. Light weight and provides plenty of space. Travelpro invented the two-wheeled roller bag and it shows. Very easy to pull along. The only issue is that the handle is not the smoothest to extend or retract. We have used other Travelpro bags for several years now and they are still going strong. ## Frequently Bought Together - Travelpro Maxlite 5 Softside Expandable Upright 2 Wheel Carry on Luggage, Lightweight Suitcase, Men and Women, Black, Carry On 22-Inch - Travelpro Maxlite 5 Softside Lightweight Underseat Carry-On Travel Tote, Overnight Weekender Bag - Travelpro Maxlite 5 Softside Expandable Upright 2 Wheel Carry on Luggage, Lightweight Suitcase, Men and Women, Slate Green, Carry On 22-Inch --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.co.za/products/118386601-travelpro-maxlite-5-softside-lightweight-expandable-upright-luggage-black-carry](https://www.desertcart.co.za/products/118386601-travelpro-maxlite-5-softside-lightweight-expandable-upright-luggage-black-carry) --- *Product available on Desertcart South Africa* *Store origin: ZA* *Last updated: 2026-10-01*
