I make sugar cookies on a regular basis and this rolling pin paired with my rolling pin rings gives me perfect results every time. I love that I can roll across a large piece of roll dough or cookie dough without any part of it not getting reached. It is occasionally tough to get a group grip on the pin itself without any handles, but it feels so much more sturdy than other rolling pins with handles. When having to roll out stiff, refrigerated cookie dough, I have always worried that the flimsy handles on a wire bar going through the pin on a traditional rolling pin are going to just snap off, but I have no worries about that with this rolling pin. I haven't ever actually made fondant with this rolling pin, and I typically roll my cookie dough between parchment paper, but I usually don't have tons of issues with the dough sticking to the rolling pin. I throw this in the dishwasher after each use without any concerns although dishwashing it would never be very difficult.
