Does anyone know what the right one to buy is?** A: The way this phone is made is odd however if you buy a adapter mini usb to type c and use with any mini usb charging lead this works as the adapter it thin it fits perfectly in this phone I found any normal type c charging lead don't fit most of the rugged phones so buy mini usb to typ c adapter on Amazon I got mine from Anker really small thing you get a 2 or 3 of them all you doing is converting and old sty mini usb to type c hopes this works tried and tested to work hopes this helps dave ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars The most rugged phone I’ve owned *by S***D on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 10 May 2019* I was in the market for a new phone after dropping my Samsung Galaxy S8 and as I’m still in contract had to buy a device outright – I didn’t much fancy paying over £700 for a new Samsung handset through fear of breaking it again. A friend of mine has the older TUFFT400s which he thinks is great and after having a play around with it decided to get one of those.Found out that there was a new phone the TUFF T500 so decided to go with that after looking at the specs and how it compares with my old S8 – half the price of a new Samsung plus it should last twice as long.It’s definitely a lot thicker than my old phone but has a bigger battery and doesn’t need a case which is good. I’ve gotten three/four days use out of the phone before I’ve had to charge it again which is great. It can take a while to charge though so leave it on overnight.I spend a lot of time out walking dogs and having a phone that can deal with getting dropped in mud or rained on is great, so far I’ve only dropped it a couple times and its hit the deck pretty hard without any worry. As the phone is chunkier than my last one I’ve found it’s easier to grip when wet – especially with gloves on.Camera is good, better than the S8 I had but doesn’t have any of the fancy modes that the Samsung had not that I used them anyway. I’ve taken a few great shots of the dogs when out walking of an evening which have made great backgrounds. Has a 13 Megapixel camera.Haven’t had any issues with using the phone, its on Android 8.1 which is quite new, screen is bright and easy to read, ringer is loud and it feels faster than my old phone.Definitely recommend . ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant *by S*** on Reviewed in the United Kingdom on 26 March 2019* I thought I would spend a bit more money and buy a TUFF this time as I’ve been fed up with cheaper so called rugged phones only lasting a few months before I have to replace them. This T500 is obviously in a different league in terms of build quality, software and ruggedness. It feels heavier and much more robust than the Blackview phones I’ve had in the past but I guess that’s the combination of the larger battery and the aluminium internal frame which they say gives the phone its strength. The battery life is unbelievable, it goes for days without a charge. I am also really pleased with the camera which usually isn’t very good on rugged phones, but the sony camera on this takes great images especially in low light. You can also put two SIM cards in the phone (although I only use one), I can imagine that would be useful for people who want two numbers for work and social. Android 8.1 is a big improvement on 6 and works quickly and smoothly and is an easy transition if like me you are moving from a previous version. Overall I am delighted with the phone which is beautifully engineered, really rugged with great software and fantastic battery life.
