Extended to 16 feet I can easily reach the gutters, and as high as the attic section of siding above the second story. There are a multitude of attachments available as well. I found another use for my Extension pole. I've been picking up trash thrown out of vehicles by irresponsible people who don't seem to care out keeping our country beautiful. I took a paint roller and cut off the plastic roller ends so I just have the metal hook. I can reach in heavy foliage, bushes, including jagger bushes, and gently insert the metal into the hole in cans or into a bottle and pull them out. Works great. I also voluntarily have cleaned up fishing areas around a nearby resort lake. So far We've picked up trash along 2 miles of shoreline, and also a bicycle trail which runs along it. I also have a short extention pole as well which I use for more open areas.
