Review: Toddler Friendly - This box drum is compact, crisp, and well-made. The craftsmanship is minimalist and beautiful. I can play it during the day without worrying about disturbing the neighbors, which is a plus. It is perfectly useful for small settings: at home, performance venue, or church worship service. Most importantly for us, it is toddler friendly! My toddler enjoys slapping this drum and hearing sounds. It is light and easily transportable, with rounded edges on all sides. I can sit on this drum 2 ways (with the drum placed vertically or horizontally on the floor) and jam away. While I am reading with my toddler on her desk, I can adjust the height of my seat (the box drum) by either placing it vertically or horizontally on the floor, making it incredibly versatile for me to accommodate my toddler's growing height. It is a fabulous little drum and I am glad that I took the plunge! Review: Sounds and Looks Fantastic - Wow! The quality of this product is exceptional, for the price! It's well made, sturdy, and most importantly, has a deep drumming sound! ## Features - LEARN TO PLAY IN MINUTES: just sit down on it and tap the front with your hands to create bass and snare sounds—no experience needed; a perfect instrument for building the confidence to play percussion - WHY IT MATTERS: there are fun musical settings that don’t require endless practice on a complicated instrument; use the Meinl Jam Cajon for acoustic shows, jamming with friends, teaching rhythm, or worship teams - BE SMART: made in Europe with 100% Baltic birch (also used in high-end drum sets for players serious about sound); no cheap, glued-on laminates here - HAS SNARES: two fixed sets of steel snare wires add crisp, snappy tones for versatile sound - OF NOTE: a 4" rear sound port strengthens tone and projection; it’s also an ideal spot for mic placement - LOOKING UNDERNEATH: silicone feet stabilize the cajon, protect it, and eliminate vibrations for crystal-clear sound; safe on any surface (wood, laminate, carpet, brick, concrete) - SIZE: 10.25" W x 15" H x 10.25" D, 6 lbs—compact, portable, and durable; built to last with a solid frame (holds adults) - THE TAKEAWAY: a European made, portable, durable cajon with punchy bass and crisp snare; perfect for all skill levels and settings—from acoustic gigs to dorm room jams ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B00PNG4AWA | | Best Sellers Rank | #895 in Musical Instruments ( See Top 100 in Musical Instruments ) #1 in Cajons | | Body Material | Baltic birch | | Brand | Meinl Percussion | | Brand Name | Meinl Percussion | | Color | Light Brown/Natural | | Customer Reviews | 4.6 out of 5 stars 2,616 Reviews | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00840553082494 | | Included Components | Cajon | | Item Dimensions | 10.25 x 10.25 x 15 inches | | Item Highlight | Baltic Birch Wood, Compact Size, Rear Sound Port, Silicone Feet — For All Skill Levels and Settings | | Item Type Name | Jam Cajon Box Drum with Snare and Bass Tone for Acoustic Music — MADE IN EUROPE — Baltic Birch Wood, Play with Your Hands, 2-YEAR WARRANTY | | Item Weight | 1.3 pounds | | Item dimensions L x W x H | 10.25 x 10.25 x 15 inches | | Manufacturer | Meinl USA L.C. | | Material | Baltic Birch | | Model Name | Jam Cajon | | Model Number | JC50LBNT | | Number of Items | 1 | | Number of Packs | 1 | | Part Number | JC50LBNT | | Sound Profile | Balanced, with prominent lows and highs | | UPC | 840553082494 | | Unit Count | 1 Count | | Warranty Description | 2-year meinl warranty. | ## Product Details - **Brand:** Meinl Percussion - **Color:** Light Brown/Natural - **Item dimensions L x W x H:** 10.25 x 10.25 x 15 inches - **Material:** Baltic Birch - **Model Name:** Jam Cajon ## Images ![Cajon, MADE IN EUROPE — Sit-On Box Drum, Snare & Bass Tone - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/81QcYXWIGEL.jpg) ## Available Options This product comes in different **Color** options. ## Questions & Answers **Q: Is there a weight limit on this product? It is NOT a full size Cajon. **Q: Are the snare wires supposed to be covered with a fabric or is that something put on there for shipping. I'm wondering if it would be a little loud ?** A: The fabric is simply to preserve the snare wires and give the cajon a tighter response. **Q: would this be good for an 11 year old boy** A: Yes , I bought it for my 15 year old daughter. It's very sturdy, but vey good quality . **Q: Does it really take 1-2 months?** A: We received ours within days. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Toddler Friendly *by C***D on July 2, 2020* This box drum is compact, crisp, and well-made.
