A: The 0809 is only the production date. Cross makes 2 different style rollerball refills. They make this one and a slim version for their new lines. If your current refill you are talking about measures 4 1/2 inches long, this is what you want to order. The "slim" rollerball refill measures 4 inches long. I hope this helps !!
