https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/61gDjT+q6jL._AC_SX679_.jpg

**Q: can it be changed to normllay open?**
A: No it cannot be changed. I would not purchase this unit anyway, I bought 3 and 2 failed within a couple of months.... poor manufacturing quality where the plunger seats on the valve... .

**Q: How water proof are these units ? Can they be mounted out of the engine compartment, under the truck bed ? Thanks.**
A: Not water proof
Works as no or nc

**Q: On a 220 v switch does the two red wires on the switch go to the same 220 v power sorce**
A: No, Each wire should land on its own feed.. a breaker for 220 has two terminals. Not knowing what you are connecting they are multiple options but the two wires would not land on the same terminal.
