My other Veno bags without the inserts are durable, but they flop over easily and make loading that first item an absolute struggle. With these, you just flip down the hard bottom panel and the bag stays wide open on its own, even when completely empty. That single feature makes all the difference when packing groceries. While the inserts do make these bags slightly heftier than the insert-less versions, the added weight is negligible and well worth the convenience. The overall construction is very sturdy, and the handle stitching holds up effortlessly under heavy loads like canned goods and milk jugs. I also have a set of Veno's larger 8-gallon bags, which are equally well-made and stand up nicely, but I find this 6-gallon size to be the most versatile sweet spot for everyday shopping trips. A: I would not machine wash.  These are more structured and durable than regular reusable grocery bags.  I would just wipe off if dirty.

A: Not sure because I haven't had it in the rain yet, but looks like the fabric is at least water resistant, if not water proof.

**Q: What are the dimensions of the bag? Is 13, 11, or 10 inches the height?**
A: Mine are 11 inches tall.

I love these totes! They are sturdy, with an insert that reinforces the bottom. They hold a lot of groceries and are perfect for shopping at stores that don't have carts or hand baskets. The handles are comfortable. They don't cut into my hands when I'm carrying heavy items. The totes are very well made and should last a long time. They are affordable options to canvas tote bags, with a design perfect for carrying a loaf of bread or a carton of eggs, with plenty of room to spare for other items.
