Review: Quality product and Great space saver - I was looking to save space in my closet so ordered the Over the Door Ironing Board to see if this would work. It was very easy to install on my door. I did see in some reviews that the frame would bounce against the door when ironing so I added a Velcro strip to the ironing board frame to secure the frame to the door which completely eliminated any movement of the frame when ironing. The ironing board is easy to fold down for ironing and easily stored within the frame when not in use. Installing this Over the Door Ironing Board saved an entire wall where I used to have my ironing board set up. I could not be happier with this product. I don't need that & want it to close more flush to the wall.** A: Hi Foothill Woman. Yes, the iron holder can be left off! It attaches to the top of the frame through 2 hinge-like slots. So it is easy enough to simply leave out. Hope that helps! **Q: When the ironing board is down, does it give about 4 inches as you push down? The one I bought is not stable at all. Wondering if it's defective.** A: I really like this ironing board. It doesn't give 4 inches, but I don't push down hard on it either. It has a slight give, but pretty level overall. I find it to be pretty sturdy. **Q: I saw a review here that said this could not be put on the inside of a door. I don't understand why you couldn't. Does someone know?** A: Mine is on the inside of the door by my stackable washing machine and dryer. No problem! **Q: El forro** A: Se Mira de calida El forro ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Quality product and Great space saver *by I***. on June 8, 2026* I was looking to save space in my closet so ordered the Over the Door Ironing Board to see if this would work. It does include everything needed to install it on a typical door, however the design has a few problems: 1- the rack for holding the iron is too close to the top of the door, so if you put an iron there you'd have to way to open/close the door, 2- unless you have an abnormally tall door the board when opened up will be low to the ground so you'll be ironing while on your knees. Beyond those drawbacks the ironing board works well and everything seems pretty strong. I expect it to last years. ## Frequently Bought Together - Household Essentials 144222 Over The Door Small Ironing Board with Iron Holder, Natural Cotton Cover Silver - BLACK+DECKER Easy Steam Compact Iron for Clothes, Automatic Shutoff, Nonstick Plate, Light Weight, 1200 Watts - VividPaw 14x42 Inch Over-The-Door Ironing Board Cover with User-Friendly Design, Heavy-Duty Padding, Adjustable Elastic Drawstring and Fasteners - Replacement Iron Board Cover (Grey, 14" x 42") --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.co.za/products/1142756-144222-over-the-door-small-ironing-board-with-iron-holder](https://www.desertcart.co.za/products/1142756-144222-over-the-door-small-ironing-board-with-iron-holder) --- *Product available on Desertcart South Africa* *Store origin: ZA* *Last updated: 2026-10-10*
