Not only is it quick and easy to install, but it will pay for itself in as quickly as 9 months. As far as the corrosion, it can help with that but you will have to seal the insulation when installing it so moisture cannot get inside. R-values for reflective insulations are dependent on two (primary) criteria: 1. Heat flow direction 2. The amount of air space in a closed cavity on the reflective side of the product in a building assemblage. This is the reason our product has different R-values for different applications (varying amount of air space and heat flow directions). No double-back tape and it seems to sit happily in there without wanting to fall.The product has a nice 1/8" foam core that helps keep it rigid and the "foil" exterior on both side of the foam seems to be a nice quality.I was able to install the entire garage door by myself in less than 45 minutes. It would've been less time, but I had to get a rythem of measuring and cutting. (I'm a 5'2" woman).2 car garage door needed 2 rolls with some left over, but I'll roll that out in my attic over the garage.
