The four arms just have one screw connecting them and don't need to be more than hand tight. You can easily remove the arms if you wanted to. The little claw hands screw off as well and are easily removed and/or replaced. The only caution I'd give is that the four little black feet aren't held on very well with adhesive and the screws hold them on. Yeah, the arms have a slight memory, but it's manageable. And the arms are strong. The unit is solid. The clips hold well. I can recover the clips with shrink tubing - one of them is done that way already - and it grips better than the rubber does. The clips turn (very important), and they're easy to lock in position (also important). I've used 3 arms at the same time, today, on one task (I use this for building model ships). And I can see myself using all 4 arms for some work. The base is heavy - it doesn't move about IOW.
