Since this system can disassemble down to sticks, they can just pull right out. You can make a bigger one around the smaller one, and then just disassemble the smaller one on the inside. I have a system that uses Ram-Pro Loop Grip Clips to keep the stalks attached to a pole or bracket for support. I also use Gloryfox Tomato Plant hooks for support. The downside is the triangle supports are a little tricky to assemble - kind of like a puzzle. But once you do it a few times it becomes more straightforward. They would work well for anyone growing tomatoes - but especially for people who don't have a lot of room to store things over the winter. In fact, by the end of the season, my Romas outgrew them--pulled them right over. But Brandywines? Cherokees? Beefsteaks? Big Cherry tomatoes? No way. They were out of this cage in no time. Great for peppers or patio tomatoes.
