This battery is their own brand, that to me, appears to be a cheaper battery, than a VB Battery, which is pictured. I'd give it 5 stars, if it was what was purchased. The prices was about the same as the UB1280, otherwise, I would have complained to Amazon, about them misrepresenting the battery. I'm not saying that its a bad battery, it just I chose this battery because it, was not a, no-name-brand battery. Or an UB1280, and, well, that is what it just appears to be...Update:I now used it, so far it works OK.--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------What I am using the battery for:I installed this battery into the, 12v portable power source, that I am making out of an old cheap car jump starter (it original had a 12v 8ah gel battery with tabs (a type not available), for the lugs that the #6 jumper cables were connected to). The old jump starter (a "Motor Trend Mini), has the built in charge circuits (very basic) and two LED work lights and two, two common 12v accessory plugs, often used for cellphone changers and such (that I can plug my HAM HT a VX7r (E-DC-5B) charger into), or an KX3 into, etc. It also has a 3-LED charge and battery status indicators - red for above ~10v, 12.7v for yellow and 13.1v for green for the status) - what else would I need...My conversion of the jump starter to portable power source:I had to cut off the connectors it had and install the new battery and get rid of the cheap jumper cables (saved for some other use, some other day). The common battery type that fits this box has F2 (0.25in) or the smaller F1 (0.187in) connectors this one has (I hate F2 (and F1) connectors, because they are not ideal for caring the currents they often are asked to carry, and then become unreliable and over heat and loosen up further than thy are already). I made two APP cables one long one short. Both are fused using a 10A circuit beaker (fuses are hard to come by sometimes). The APP cables come out of the same holes, as were the jumper cables came out of originally.Then I load tested it for 15A and 30A. I made it for 12v 10A max (3-5A typical), with no internal voltage drops. I only expected it to work just OK for the 15A (I used the 30A to test-blow the 10A C/B, witch it did after few seconds). I was use stranded #14 wires throughout, this includes the two Anderson PowerPoles (APP30), that replace were the jumper cables used to come out of the box.
