You might try a little steam to soften it, but I am not optimistic it would work. Basically this is used as a base for meringues and macaroons which are extremely sticky and impossible to remove from the baking tray without the wafer or rice paper. **Q: Could I bend this slightly for a sail on a ship?** A: It is very brittle.
