They came from an itty bitty cow. I commend you on your choice of candy. These are my favorite and this size is perfect to fit in a pocket. **Q: What is the shelf life?** A: Great. Stay fresh for a month but still quite good for up to 6 months **Q: What flavor is this, Chocolate or vanilla?** A: These are caramel with vanilla cream inside **Q: Roughly how many cow tales come in the 2 lb package? I'd like to use them for a farm themed Vacation Bible School, so need to know how many packages to buy. Thank you for any prompt responses and help!** A: Hi Kathy, They're "mini" Cow Tales, about 2.5 inches long. I weighed what I have left, and counted them. 14.2 ounces left (so a bit less than half) and there are 34 Cow Tales (Tails?) in the bag, so you can figure (very roughly) that twice 14 ounces would give you just over 68 pieces, and if you do the math (34 (pieces) divided by 14.2 (ounces) is 2.3943 (pieces per ounce). Multiply 2.3943 (cost per one ounce) times 32 (ounces in 2 pounds) and you get 76.6 pieces. Either way, you should estimate about 72-76 pieces. Hope that's close enough for you. They are delicious. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Brings back memories *by J***E on June 30, 2026* Really good. Addictive for me. A. I thought it was a very good value, coming to $0.54 per full-size cow tale. I can’t deny, I was pleased that we had some leftovers! These were very fresh, soft and sweet, and nice to have available when you’ve got a bit of a caramel craving. I would buy again. ## Frequently Bought Together - Goetze's Candy Vanilla Cow Tales - 2.25 Pound Canister (36 Ounces) - Fresh from the Factory - Goetze's Candy Caramel Apple Cow Tales - 2.25 Pound Canister (36 Ounces) - Fresh from the Factory - Goetze's Candy Strawberry Smoothie Cow Tales - 2.25 Pound Canister (36 Ounces) - Fresh from the Factory --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.co.za/products/11017794-candy-original-caramel-cow-tales-2-25-lb-36ct-canister](https://www.desertcart.co.za/products/11017794-candy-original-caramel-cow-tales-2-25-lb-36ct-canister) --- *Product available on Desertcart South Africa* *Store origin: ZA* *Last updated: 2026-11-02*
