There are excellent removal/installation videos on YouTube. You can take the old one off by simply removing the tire and, using an extension and impact rated socket, remove the old unit. It took almost as long to get the tire off and back on as it did to swap the axle if you’re using impact tools. This CV axle addresses the click and grease leakage common in an axle that’s going bad. Performance is to be determined, as I’ve only put about 100 miles on the truck since replacement, but torque everything down to specs (German torque specs don’t count) and you should be good to go. Price was better than local parts houses even though it’s the same brand I’ve seen them carry. Would recommend.
