They allow you to steer the auxiliary or gas powered trolling motor from anywhere in your boat.The T4 systems (550102NE & 550103NE) will fit every kicker motor with a tilt tube and install in minutes without taking any room away from your transom. It includes a connecting rod with quick disconnects for versatile applications. Requires a minimum 9" clearance between the main engine and kicker motor.The 550100ANE & 550101ANE install anywhere on the transom and include a connecting rod to go between the main engine and the kicker motor with quick disconnects. I like the product but be aware that a steering plate will be necessary if your motor does not have one. My 2007 mercury 9.9 did not have this and the provided generic adapters that were provided were a joke and could not be used. It would be great if the manufacture would provide additional wire also for the DC connections. The remote has way more cabal than needed but the other 2 points of connecting wire are too short and I needed to add length to them.
