## Description

The Casio G-SHOCK GW2310FB-1 delivers iconic G-SHOCK toughness with advanced technology wrapped in a stealth black design. Its black IP stainless steel bezel and reverse LCD display offer a bold, utilitarian look while providing high functionality for everyday and outdoor use. Powered by Tough Solar, this watch ensures reliability by drawing energy from any light source, while Multi-Band 6 Atomic Timekeeping keeps it perfectly accurate no matter where you are. Designed for resilience, it’s shock resistant and water resistant to 200 meters, making it ideal for both rugged environments and water activities. Packed with practical features like world time, stopwatch, countdown timer, multiple alarms, and a full auto EL backlight, the GW2310FB-1 combines performance, durability, and style. Whether you’re training, traveling, or tackling tough conditions, this G-SHOCK is built to keep pace with your lifestyle. Casio With the launch of its first watch in November 1974, Casio entered the wristwatch market at a time when the watch industry had just discovered digital technology. As a company with cutting-edge electronic technology developed for pocket calculators, Casio entered this field confident that it could develop timepieces that would lead the market. Today, Casio is focusing its efforts on solar-powered radio-controlled watches: the built-in solar battery eliminates the nuisance of replacing batteries, atomic timekeeping means the users never have to reset the time. Recently, Casio launched a series of Bluetooth watches that sync to the users cell phone to automatically update the time. Casio is always moving time forward.

Review: Awesome Watch... The display could be a bit bigger though - **Edit** - Ok, I find myself wearing the watch religiously now. I originally mentioned the atomic option was not worth it but it totally is. That feature has turned into my favorite part of the watch. I have worn this thing through hell and back, not taking it easy on it at all. The more I wear it the better it got. The display is not hard to read, I love the look of it. I went from a 4 to a 5 rating as I have to have it on me daily, I use it so much. It's a damn good watch, the size is perfect and it has everything you need. I love the blacked out version, kind of wish they made one in a FDE variation. Either way it's a solid work horse and can handle anything you through at it. I was unsure at first but it totally exceeded my expectations and then some. Ok, so I am been wearing a Casio W735H-8AVCF for a few years now. It's nothing fancy, the display is nice, 10 year battery and vibration alarm. However, it was not the G-Shock that I loved and used in the service, it is the Walmart $20 cheap G-Shock wanna-be. So after months of searching I jumped for this G-Shock, the GW-2310FB. I was stoked when it came in, finally a watch I am used to. My first impression was wow, this thing looks sleek but I immediately noticed the actual screen was a bit smaller than my cheap Casio. The negative display is actually really cool and no problems at all reading it, especially in the sun and with sunglasses on. Now I got this due to the solar power and atomic time keeping. I saw folks in other reviews say that they are having issues getting their watch to full power. Right out of the box mine was ready to go. It was delivered at mid power but I tossed it on and did a 1 hour photo shoot outside. By the end of the shoot I was at full power. The battery charges fast outside so no issues there. The other reason I bought this watch was for the atomic time keeping which I actually found useless. Do not buy this watch for this feature. It comes pre loaded with time zones and a quick manual adjustment in your area and the watch does the rest. There is absolutely no reason to have a time sync. Even with a time sync you will still have to adjust what region you're in manually and the watch adjusts the time based on what region you choose automatically. I wish I would have known that when eliminating what watch I wanted to invest in beforehand. It sounds cool, but more of a hassle than anything. I tried to manually get a signal and after two tries I got an error... but again, it's not needed at all. Now for the size.. I don't get it. My old cheap watch registers at a 44mm bezel size, this says a 46mm and I wanted a bit bigger watch than my older watch but it is not, at all. It is not as beefy as the other G-shocks which I did not want anyway. I was not looking for a big 55mm target on my wrist. My wrist is 6 inches roughly so I wanted a bit bigger than my 44mm watch and less than 55mm. I thought the 46mm this measures on paper would be perfect, but it just seems small. I would compare this to a rugged looking sports watch. The case is beefy (not overly, it flows good) and that cuts into the display where my other watch is not shock rated and the case feels cheap but larger display (it was $20). This would be my only complaint really, I wish the display was a bit bigger. The watch is solid, the case is beefy and I have seen a few complain about the strap. The strap is fine. I prefer this strap over any of my other watches. It fits my 6 inch wrist perfect. The material does not feel cheap, it feels like a solid watch band. The back light is an awesome looking green and yes, it does have a solid auto backlight. That is a plus because with the negative display, you're going to need it at night. It gives the watch a night vision type of feel. The buttons... yea they suck. They are small. My cheap watch has some nice buttons I can press on the fly. This watch, the buttons are in the case and you really gotta show them who's boss. This is good and bad because there is no way you're going to accidentally change settings which I have done with my old watch in the past, but they could be a bit larger. In all this is a great time piece. I love the solar power, the multiple time lay out, it has your basic alarms (4 plus a snooze), stop watch, and timer. The black out design is solid, I really like that it is not a huge flashy target on my wrist. The display is unique, different and very functional. The backlight is nice and bright. The strap will fit a small to medium wrist perfect. Downfalls... The atomic option is not needed, and not worth the extra $$$ at all... it really is pointless. The display and buttons could be a little bit bigger. Had the display and buttons been a smidge larger this watch would hands down be the best digital ever. I give it 4 stars out of 5 due to the size of the display and buttons only... I expected this watch to fit a bit better than my cheap Casio and strap wise it does, just not the display. This will still be my everyday watch, it feels tough, good quality and lots of options that I probably won't even use all of them. I do recommend this watch if you are looking for a solar powered piece. The good thing about the smaller case is that it won't get snagged on clothing, the watch will go with any outfit really. Unless you are still using the old bag phone and have never heard of the internet, the atomic part is pointless. If you are looking for a larger G-Shock style piece with Chuck Norris sized wrists, you may want to look at other models. I hope this review helps!!!!!
Review: Stealth looks, high value. - Any gripes I have with this watch are entirely my own fault. I own many GShocks and love them all. Digital, Analogue Aviation etc. Over the time of ownership I began to build a mater list of what I wanted in my next one. I wanted it to be atomic, I wanted it to be solar, I wanted easy transition between time zones and world time. Lastly, I began to have a yearning for a murdered out black on black watch. Does Casio make such an amalgamation? In fact they do. Case in point, THIS WATCH. Likes: Utility Features - Unlike other atomic watches I've owned, this one hooked up to the Atomic clock on the first night and synced just like it should. No need for manual sync initially. I also really like the layout. Shows me everything I need in one look: Time (with seconds), date (with month), and day of the week. I use the world clock one button push (top right button) and I can have repeated access to Zulu (UTC) without having to do the math. Easy enough but it gets old doing it all the time. Second, simple alarm. I use it for power naps/cooking/and reminders throughout the day. Easy to set and easy to turn off. Stopwatch, who doesn't need one of those? Lots of utility there. Count down timer, way useful in the weight room for switching to different sets/stations without having to mess up your rhythm by checking your watch. Structural features - IT'S A G-SHOCK. Good luck killing it. It will probably out live you. I use my Gshocks for dirtier/grimier/outdoor or under the truck days. Salt water, suncreen, engine oil, sweat, hydraulic fluid, and blood. No issues just washing it all off the watch. That's what it was made for. Also use Gshocks in the jet when I'm at work. I can wail on them and have no regrets about it. They are my most reliable piece of kit. People come to me for a hack to get their watches synced up. Ballin. Lastly, the auto backlight feature. You don't know how useful it is until you have it available to you. I love not needing to press the button for backlight at night. Just move my wrist like I'd be checking it normally then BOOM, a glorious display of time. Doing it with no hands (STS) has now spoiled me. Dislikes: Dimensions. The watch is smaller in all dimensions than any of my previous G's. My own fault for not crosschecking this. It's not diminutive but it isn't super substantial either. I have a fairly big wrist and am on the 3rd notch from the end. The band is thinner than I expected but overall the watch still functions great and looks good on the wrist. The buttons are smallish I can get over that. No one likes the small letters on an iPhone am I right? All my gripes are strikes against me for not checking, the watch is fine. Last oddity is that even after days in the sun, it still never charges above MID. Overall: For $100 I think it is a GREAT addition to any collection for looks and utility.

**Q: what type of battery does it take.. mine is on low?**
A: I have had my pathfinder since 2008. Only time I ever had it go low was because the backlight got turned on to illuminate when you rolled the watch to read it. Plus it was set to stay on longer as well. So while tossing and turning in bed all night the watch was staying lit. So once I got that setting changed it never came off "high". So now at the 15 year mark, I am replacing it because the illumination no longer works past a tenth of a second. So I feel I got my money's worth.

**Q: My husband's wrist measures 8 inches. Will this watch fit? If not, can a separate band be bought?**
A: My wrist measures 6 inches. I have a super skinny wrist and the watch fits fine for me. I’m not sure about the band though sorry. Hope this helped.

**Q: Is this watch solar powered, made in Japan and atomic radio wave?**
A: Yes.
No, Thailand.
Yes.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Rock-solid G-Shock — reliable and timeless
*by S***. on January 12, 2026*

This is exactly what you expect from a G-Shock: tough, reliable, and built to last. The atomic timekeeping and solar charging make it basically maintenance-free, which I love. It’s comfortable to wear, easy to read, and feels like a watch you could depend on for years. Classic G-Shock quality that absolutely meets expectations.
