It was a great purchase! Not as absorbent as a regular towel but it gets the job done. Sand doesn't stick to it which is awesome!It can easily get dirty and stained from mud, due to the light color, and is very hard to clean dirt out of.So I was quite careful with mine. One downside to traveling with it is that it is slightly heavy compared to using a sarong as a towel or even a lighter weight microfiber towel. The other downside is that is is not that big compared to the size of a beach towel or a sarong.The other thing worth mentioning is I lived in an area where I did not use a washer or dryer on it for two months, only hand washing and line drying it. The humidity where I was living made it accumulate mildew which for the life of me I could not get rid of even with lots of scrubbing and laying it in direct sunlight for days.After moving to a different location, and as a last resort, I soaked it in water with a good amount of bleach, expecting the worst (on the color). Lo and Behold!! The color was not changed at all by the bleach water, and the mildew problem was solved!
