I have been using Ampad pads for over thirty years. This pad is genuine, but the Pendaflex logo on the back has been replaced by Tops. Still made in USA. Has the larger spacing, clearly specified as 11/32 in the pics. I prefer the 9/32 spacing, and when I was in college and bought many pads each year for note taking, it mattered. Not so important now.I trusted the representation because the order is fulfilled by Amazon. Compare other prices for similar pads; anywhere. This is an incredible value for this product. I don't use a fountain pen; no comment there. Mechanical pencil exclusively, always need to erase!Update: I paid $3.60 plus tax at the time of this review, thus the comment on it's value. The lines were evenly spaced across both the front and back, which is what I expected. What surprised me the most, and you wouldn't notice this unless you were really looking under a microscope, is that it has staples hidden under a thin blue veneer paper across the top edge!!! The technology they used to achieve this could only have been developed at NASA or some secret lab in Siberia.
