Highly recommend! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Top tier quality and fit *by M***E on September 13, 2026* Bought for my Springfield 1911 mil-spec. Fits great and it’s high quality, real leather. I don’t usually write reviews but this was good enough for me to do that. Curves naturally with the hip and very tight retention without feeling sharp. Much better than the other holsters I’ve seen that claim to be real leather. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Really nice.. *by J***N on September 22, 2026* I was skeptical after reading the reviews. Folks were writing about scratched slides and safeties coming un done and thumb releases that cantvbe snapped closed. I haven't had any of those problems. The only downside to this hoster is that if you used it for concealed or less obvious carry it will print. The 1911 is a bigger pistol so it requires a pretty big holster. But that said you can pull it off. But it rides pretty high and is difficult to get it ready to shoot from under a T-shirt. The cross draw slot likewise makes the holster sit to high to be of much use except on a horse or tractor. It sure is pretty though. And holds the piece tight locked and loaded. I recommend it for folks who intend to open carry. If you are looking for concealment I'd advise against it in this rig. ## Frequently Bought Together - 1791 Gunleather 1911 Holster - Thumb Break Leather Holster for Belts - OWB Cocked and Locked Carry - Right Hand - Fit 4" and 5" Barrels - 1791 Gunleather Mag Holster 2.1 - Double Mag Pouch for Single Stack Magazines, OWB Magazine Pouch for Belts - 1791 GUNLEATHER Gun Belt for Men - Heavy Duty 14 oz Leather Gun Holster Belt for EDC --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - 🛒 **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** — Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** — Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - 💰 **No Hidden Fees** — All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - 🔄 **15-Day Free Returns** — Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - 🔒 **Secure Payments** — Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** — Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.co.za/products/105461938-1791-gunleather-thumb-break-1911-holster-fits-1911-with-4](https://www.desertcart.co.za/products/105461938-1791-gunleather-thumb-break-1911-holster-fits-1911-with-4) --- *Product available on Desertcart South Africa* *Store origin: ZA* *Last updated: 2026-10-05*
