Review: Excellent spread - I bought 3 of these and have never had to use them on a bear. However, I did test the spay of one can on a paper target, and it spreads extremely wide and lingers a while. I would say a 10 foot mist in width. I tested at 30 feet away and it worked perfectly. The spray time was about 7 seconds, and about 1 second extra of reduced pressure.

**Q: Can this can be used partially and then reused?  Or does the whole can need to be used at the same time?  Thank you.**
A: I would suggest if a bear is after you conserving the product for future use should NOT be a consideration.

**Q: Does this show it is EPA approved on the can? I believe to go into Canada with it, it must be US EPA approved-want to see that on the can.**
A: Yes these are approved

**Q: Why is there a restriction to my shipping location and what are any options available**
A: I know some locations receive air shipments. Many carriers won’t allow these canisters in their cargo holds, as they are afraid the pressure might cause the canister to leak or explode. I suggest getting a vendor who allows you to choose ground shipping. And I suspect certain parts of the country might consider bear spray a weapon, and won’t allow weapons to be shipped in their locations.

**Q: How much time do you have to get away from a person or shoot after the initial spray?**
A: Silly question. Dependent upon aim, age of spray and condition of the target (drugs, mental health) use your head but if you had to ask this question then my guess is that you don't need to handle this product.

Highly recommended if you are going to be around predatory animals!! We bought the bear Spray for a multi-national park bucket list trip. I cannot really hike at this time as a cancer survivor with recent major surgery - but we thought better safe than sorry. We went stargazing at Badlands National Park and I was SO glad we had it there!! The safety tab glows in the dark for easy removal to deployment. I actually took off the safety tab to be at the ready - lol -there were coyotes howling not too far away. The safety tab was super easy to put back into place! Better to have and not need it… One of our bus tour guides from Yellowstone National Park recommended that one always carry bear spray a Yellowstone. We did see two Grizzlies there!
