Thanks ThisWorx! Some complaints on here really made me hesitate on this vacuum... But eventually I thought, "It's desertcart, let's roll the dice and try it out." To those complaining it's loud... Thank you. It's because of you that I find this vacuum to be surprisingly quiet for its suction power. When I first switched it on, I thought it was too quiet to have any capability... It concerned me that it was quieter than a hair dryer. It emits a low-whir that you can easily converse over without yelling. To those complaining it doesn't suck... Thank you as well. With expectations set low, I was surprised to only have to hand-pick 2 tiny rocks from the floors. This little guy picked up at least 1/2 a pound of sand off my floors mats and roughly a half-ounce of accumulated puppy hair... I ended up having to empty it out 5 times (yes, it had been months since I'd cleaned my car). Bonus stuff? The carrying case is a nice touch to be able to keep it all together. The accessories are more usable than you'd think... Puppy hair not coming up? Use the brush attachment! Hard to get between those seats? Use the narrow extension! It's so well thought out. If you're expecting this to suck a golf ball through a straw, it won't. It's NOT a shop vac. It's a 12v cig plug vacuum designed for portable/on-the-go clean up... and it delivers! The build quality is fair for it's price-point... don't expect buttons, switches or anything else to feel "top notch". But in terms of function, it seems to have the goods. And unless the motor is absolute junk, it should last a very long time with proper upkeep and as-intended use. Overall: An absolutely awesome value. Review: THIS REALLY SUCKS - And that's a good thing! - This is one of the best car vacs I have yet.to purchase! The suction is great, the motor is very quiet, the cord length is very generous, and the storage bag is a great bonus. A few things to think about when using it: - Empty the cup often when using; you will get more long lasting suction this way. - This vac plugs into the lighter of your car to operate, and the car must be running for the vac to run - it does not have a battery option. Be VERY careful that you do not knock into the gear shift while vacuuming as this can cause the car to move forward or backwards without anyone in the driver's seat! I think this is a design flaw, as it should have a battery option to avoid this, the plug in feature should be a back-up feature. That being said, it's still a kick-ass car vac, you just have to be very aware and very careful when using. ## Features - THE ULTIMATE HIGH POWER: We achieved a new high standard in automotive cleaning with our improved car detailing vacuum. It will pick up the pet hair a lot quicker and easier. I love my vacuum to get under the seat and in the cracks of the seat but something like pet hair comes up a lot faster with just tape. Not to mention you don’t have to clean the vacuum out either lol **Q: Hi, since nature abhors a vacuum, will I be considered rude if I purchase this item? Thanks!** A: Perhaps the enemy of its enemy is its friend? If that’s the case, then Nature will just adore you! **Q: Best cordless car vacuum** A: This is not a cordless vacuum. **Q: Whats the difference between this model and the twc-01 also by thisworx?** A: Besides the external differences between the models, TWC-02 has a LED light and its power is stronger than TWC-01. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Very Impressive - Thanks to the bad reviews *by A***R on February 10, 2020* UPDATE: Sister saw it in action and HAD to have one, so just received my second one! Suction is ok. *by T***N on May 28, 2026* I purchased this to keep and use on our family boat. I got tired of hauling a hand vac back and forth. The price is great and I like the included case which will help me keep everything together on the boat. I haven't used in on the boat yet but I did use in in my basement and it picked up stuff pretty well. Not as much suction as my 18v Ryobi handvac but this unit is only 12v so that is to be expected. I gave it only 4 starts because the included brush is pretty minimal with only one row of bristles. I'm not sure how long it will last. Also the manual is printed in microscopic text size. You don't really need a manual for this unit but if one is included it should be legible without having to use a magnifying glass:-) All in all I'm happy with this purchase and unless the life of the unit is short I think it will do the job. ## Frequently Bought Together - ThisWorx Car Vacuum Cleaner - Portable Handheld Mini Vacuum Cleaner W/ 16ft Cord, Bag, & Attachments - Small Vacuum for Car, RV, Boats, Travel - Car Accessories - PULIDIKI Car Cleaning Gel Car Cleaning Putty Car Interior Cleaner Slime Car Cleaning Kit Auto Detailing Tools Car Cleaning Supplies Car Accessories Car Gifts for Men Women Blue - Armor All Car Cleaning Wipes, Wipes for Car Interior and Car Exterior, 90 Wipes Each --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - πŸ›’ **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** β€” Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** β€” Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - πŸ’° **No Hidden Fees** β€” All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - πŸ”„ **15-Day Free Returns** β€” Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - πŸ”’ **Secure Payments** β€” Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** β€” Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.co.za/products/104471118-thisworx-car-vacuum-cleaner-2-0-portable-handheld-mini-vacuums](https://www.desertcart.co.za/products/104471118-thisworx-car-vacuum-cleaner-2-0-portable-handheld-mini-vacuums) --- *Product available on Desertcart South Africa* *Store origin: ZA* *Last updated: 2026-10-13*
