There is nothing wrong with specialists, but the problem is the constant retraining, and re-education, which takes time. The world is too fragments of a few specialists and not enough generalists. This might show you, a possible way out or a better idea. To improve on things. ### ⭐ Stopped it after I couldn't take any more drivel *by W***R on Reviewed in the United States on June 23, 2019* I enjoy Steampunk. Have for some time. Have been to Steampunk conventions and built entire virtual Steampunk cities. I am not easily bored (especially when it comes to Steampunk), but this lost me in the first 10 minutes. I have learned not to waste further time on such films.Lengthy dialogs that go nowhere, questionable statements, self-important high-sounding monologues-- all of which seem to totally miss what Steampunk is truly about: stepping out of mundane reality for a moment and having a bit of fun.Steampunk is a political statement? Steampunk is a guideline for the future? While I agree that some Steampunk-related books may dip into such areas by intent of the authors, it is doubtful this extends to the concept as a whole or can serve as a definition of what is basically a hobby. It would be difficult to believe that Steampunk is going to have any effect whatsoever on the political shaping of nations of the future.What we see here are people who take Steampunk (and themselves) far too seriously. At that point they lose the spirit and fun of the genre.Far be it from me to dictate what Steampunk is; there is no absolute definition and the concept is diverse. But I believe this video shows what Steampunk isn't: using obscene language in Victorian times and trying to make Steampunk serious. Steampunk is a visualized concept, an enjoyable, often satirical, and strange bit of fun in which people get to dress up, take on created personas, and for a few moments get away from the stresses of the outside world. It's also art and creativity and brilliance brought to life in dress, craft and presentation.I didn't bother to finish the video. Once I noted the lop-sided and (in my opinion) inaccurate portrayal of the genre, I had no need to waste further time on such platitudes. There are better Steampunk documentaries available on the Net, and far better explanations and portrayals of the genre as a whole. ### ⭐⭐⭐ Some unique insights and some political (h)activists *by G***H on Reviewed in the United States on November 6, 2020* There is a spot about 30 minutes in that almost made me stop watching, but it passes pretty quickly. Mostly very interesting with lots of unique discussions by futurists, "historians", craftsmen, media producers, and some political points. The nice thing is that you can easily spot the people who view Steampunk as a form of political activism.
