Want for a fish tank room** A: It needs water to make the connection and set the alarm off. I have mine under the sink units where the water would goto if there was a leak. If in the high humidity there was condensation on the devices then I think they would alarm. It’s that much condensing humidity you kind of have a leak and would need to control the humidity.
