The glass isn't too thick, but thicker at the bottom for a nice weight. They are elegant enough for a formal dinner, yet large enough to not refill a hundred times with water. I think it was a good buy, a little pricey, but after seeing how they look, I didn't regret the purchase at all. I think you'll like these glasses. They are sturdy enough to use for guests, but elegant enough to be noticeable.
