Salt tends to grab moisture.** A: NO , unfortunately it doesn't seal . I put some dry rice inside to absorb the moisture. It is so pretty but not very useful nor functional. Some reviewers complained they looked cheap and I didn’t think so at all, and I’m pretty fussy about things looking nice. They were a good size, bigger than what I have, so I won’t have to refill them so often. They have a very clean modern look, which it what attracted me to them. Well made, no scratches anywhere. Some complained about the top being plastic and cheapening the look but even though it’s plastic on the top, it’s well molded and matches the bottom color, looks fine. The silver is stainless steel so it won’t rust on me as some shakers do after a while. I wish the holes were slightly smaller, the salt comes out a little much, but then I’m not a salt person. Shaking sideways will remedy that. Color was better and brighter than the photo. I bought the lime green and they look a little faded on photo and WAY better in person. I was pleasantly surprised with this purchase, I thought they mighty look cheap when I ordered but they have a higher end look.
