It coming with the rings is also a nice touch (thank you company who makes these). There are so many cards which is great, takes a long time to use them up unlike a package of index cards. These were entirely WRONG for biochemistry - I wanted the different colours to differentiate the types of amino acids and behaviours. Too small for that. But... they are perfect for your kids. I’m not kidding - perfect. They are small. Great for little hands. Big enough for the kind of math drills they need it for. Perfect for single letters or phonemes. And they are pre-punched for the very handy rings which are included. Why do I love them? The rings mean you can group topics together and the colours can then be used to further classify ideas. I tried to use a permanent marker to test it, but you can see through it a little (see photos). I intended to use a pen anyway so I don't think of it as a con. I used it to study chemistry and biology and found it to be super helpful. The cards are small enough to take on the go, and big enough to write or draw definitions and explanations. There were only a few rings, but I knew that in advance and bought additional separate rings.
