I think the fingerboard might be plastic, but the violin is mainly wood. **Q: how do we contact seller if item is faulty? The violin is constantly having to be tuned almost every week after an hours use and the bow is not fit** A: I never had the need to contact the seller. New strings will need tuning very often at the beginning. You can have them tuned in any music shop, or buy a tuner yourself. I have my own tuner and bought better quality strings and it really improved the sound. I am eyeing a better bow now, too. **Q: Does this have a shoulder rest?** A: Hi, unfortunately this violin does not come with a shoulder rest. Avoid. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Needs setup by Pro but amazing value *by C***L on 7 June 2021* I have 2 of these now for my girls. They are cheap and need to be setup by someone who knows what they are doing (their teacher is a close friend) but will do fine for a first violin. Nothing broken but the bridges needed adjusting with sandpaper (one by a lot!) and the strings and wood will take a while to settle as with any violin. For the price the 1/2 size violin is selling at (<£15) I can’t see a reason not to!
